Chapter 207 "Which floor are you on? I'll ccheck on you," Joycelyn asked, concerned that it might be difficult for Lucy on her first day at the Grant Group. She wanted to make sure her friend was settling in okay.
Lucy thought back to the cold reception she'd received from her department colleagues that morning and, not wanting to worry Joycelyn, refused.
"I'm fine. I'm not a newbie. I can handle it," Lucy responded confidently, her tone light.
Hearing Lucy's calm and assured voice, Joycelyn couldn't help but smile and feel reassured.
"If anything happens, tell me. If anyone dares to mess with you, I'll make them regret it," Joycelyn whispered, pretending to crack her knuckles.
"I can take on four hands with my two fists, and my mouth can curse for miles. Anyone who dares to mess withwill regret it," Lucy said with a queenly swagger, flashing a proud look at Joycelyn.
"Alright, alright, I'm not saying anything about other places, but in the Grant Group, you're good to go." Joycelyn responded, impressed by Lucy's growing confidence.

Lucy winked at Joycelyn before turning serious and asking, "So when are you and Mr. Grant going public?" "Can you find any photos of him online?" Joycelyn mischievously asked Lucy, raising an eyebrow.
Lucy immediately pulled out her phone, typing in Ellison's name. She found no clear front-facing pictures, just one blurry photo of him from behind. Searching "CEO of the Grant Group" brought up a bunch of handsfaces, but none of them were Ellison.
"No photos, but I'm sure people in the high-society circles have seen him," Lucy said, slightly disappointed. "That's actually better. He's a private person, and I don't like being too public either. The best thing is just to live in the moment. Plus, I get to enjoy all kinds of gossip about him at work," Joycelyn said with a carefree laugh, not feeling particularly insecure about keeping things private.
"Are you afraid...?" Lucy started to ask, but then swallowed the words and said, "This is actually great. Who would guess that an ordinary office worker is actually the famous Mrs. Grant? The contrast is thrilling and exciting." "Are you asking if I'm afraid of being abandoned by him?" Joycelyn saw right through Lucy's thoughts.
Ever since she first learned about their relationship, she'd been holding onto this question.
Lucy didn't respond, but the concern in her eyes was undeniable.
"I was scared at first, especially with the difference in our social standings. I thought it might end badly. But not anymore," Joycelyn admitted, her voice softening. "A good relationship needs security. If you keep avoiding it, both sides start to feel insecure. I've decided to just let ttell us the answer." As they walked into the building together, the topic was dropped, especially with more colleagues around. Lucy's office was on the 23rd floor, so she exited the elevator first.
Joycelyn stayed behind, not pressing the button for her floor. She waited until the other people got off, then pressed the button for the top floor-the CEO's office.
Since no one was really around her office, she figured she'd take a little break in Ellison's office.
1/3 06:53 Thu, 6 Mar Chapter 207 She knocked lightly on the CFO's office door A bespectacled assistant quickly cout and informed her, "Mr. Grant is on his break. If it's urgent, cback in the afternoon, or you can tellwhat you need Just moments ago, Joycelyn had been confidently talking, but now the was caught a bit off-guard.
73% Luckily, William, Ellison's right hand man, crushing over, overbearing the conversation. He blurted out. From now on. if Mrs. Grant comes by but quickly corrected himself,... I mean, if joycelyn comes by to see Mr. Grant, don't stop her. If Mr. Grant's not in, let her in and have her wait The assistant, usually meticulous, had already made two mistakes when it cto Joycelyn.
"Got it," the assistant said, stepping aside to open the door to the office. "Mr. Grant just went to the restroom. Please wait a moment" "Thanks," Joycelyn said politely, walking into the office.
After the door closed behind her, the assistant scratched his head and walked up to William. "William, no outsiders are allowed in the CEO's office. So who is this woman? William shot him a disdainful look. "Outsiders? I thought you said she was an insider? The assistant's confusion didn't seem to clear up.
William rolled his eyes and walked back to his office.
"Oh... the insider," the assistant muttered, suddenly realizing. "So, she's 'insider' in a different way....
William, thinking he'd gotten through to him, stopped in his tracks and turned around, glaring at the assistant. "Chere" The assistant thought he had nailed it, but as he got closer, he was met with a sharp slap to the back of his head. "Use your brain! Have you ever seen a female close to Mr. Grant?" "Then who is she?" The assistant, still confused, rubbed the back of his head.

William sighed deeply, giving up on trying to explain. "Go clean the toilets tomorrow. For the whole week." The assistant's supposed brilliance was, apparently, beyond saving.
Inside the office, Joycelyn didn't close the door completely and could hear William's grumbling through the door. She couldn't hold back her laughter.
When Ellison walked in, he saw her smiling, and without a word, he shut the door behind him, giving her a serious look. "What's so funny?"
"I just heard William callingan 'insider'-it was pretty funny" om Joycelyn giggled, then walked over to him like a little koala, wrapping her arms around him.
"How? Did they not let you in?" Ellison asked, his voice low as he looked at her. "Next time, have William set you up with fingerprint access and elevator privileges." "Thanks, Mr. Grant," Joycelyn teased, rising onto her tiptoes and planting a playful kiss on his chin.
Ellison's smile was warm and affectionate as he looked down at her. "My grandmother called. She remembered there's a gala tonight. Would you like to go with her?" 2/3 Chapter 207 "Is it one of those fancy high-society galas?" Joycelyn asked, a little skeptical.
"Yep, but if you don't want to, I can have Benny Bull go instead, Ellison said with a playful smirk.
"Let's go. I'll go with Grandma," Joycelyn said, leaning against his chest and looking up at him with her bright, clear eyes.
Ellison's eyes sparkled with affection. He kissed her forehead gently and said, "Then we'll trouble Mrs. Grant tonight."
