49 A see you later When Cassian left, Alessandro was left thinking about what Cassian had told him, that he

should examine his heart and his feelings.

He felt comfortable with the princess, even though he sometimes thought she was annoying.

He wanted to be by her side and protect her.

He didn't want to see her suffer, especially since she was the only one who could cure Cassian's injury, the only

one who could give him a second chance to be the sas before.

Alessandro got up from the table and thought.

Upon entering, he saw the maids finishing drying Abril's hair.

through it gently, April was dressed in a light white nightgown that left her shoulders bare, he moved her hair to

one side, her neck looked seductive, he ran his fingers along her neck giving her a soft caress.

April's cheeks turned red, he could see it through his reflection in the mirror, that tempted him, he brought his

mouth to her neck and gave her a soft kiss that left a small red mark on her neck, that made her startle.

_ Are you afraid of me? Do you hatetouching you? Kissing you? _No, but | don't want to feel pain again.

Alessandro kissed her on the cheek and said.

_That won't happen.

April turned around, her golden eyes locked with Alessandro's, he gave her a kiss on the lips and said.

Alessandro stroked her hair and said.

_Let's go to sleep, today has been a very long day.

April listened to him and got into bed.

After covering herself with the sheet, he lay down next to her and she asked him.

_Tomorrow | can go out for a walk in the garden.

_Yes, but don't overdo it, you must rest since we will soon leave, we will take a long trip by carriage, so you must

take care of your body.

April smiled, she was happy to regain sof her freedom and said to him.

A week later, during dinner, Alessandro told them that they would be leaving early the next day.

April was very excited, however, Cassian was not.

that they were going on a trip without warning.

The next day Cassian got up very early, escaped from the palace and went to the bookstore, when he arrived the

asked.

We'll leave after eating.
