6 A punishment that is a blessing When the doctor arrived he removed the remaining thorns, cleaned them and

told him.

_I tried not to get the wounds wet, his feet are in worse condition, | tried not to get out of bed until they are

better.

I'll tell the maids to change the bandage and check the wounds regularly to prevent infection.

April knew that even if she told the maids to change her bandage and check her wounds, they wouldn't do it.

After a few days when the doctor said that the princess was completely recovered he went to visit her in her

room, she was standing by the window looking at the garden with her bare feet, Alessandro considered her an

extravagant princess who liked to go without shoes and with light clothes since her dress was short and showed

more than necessary, he cleared his throat and said to her.

April turned around when she heard a male voice behind her, seeing the king she wondered what he was doing

there since he always showed his hatred when he saw her.

With an annoyed face the king continued saying.

_I see that you are feeling better now, due to your bad behavior you will receive a punishment as it is due, you

will move to a remote part of the castle for a few days, you will not have maids at your service and you will have

to manage as best you can, perhaps this way you will value the work of the servants and meditate on your

behavior.

April sighed, the king was doing the sthing as her father, leaving her forgotten in a corner of the palace, she

just hoped that place wasn't in ruins.

_I will be entitled to at least two meals.

That question made Alessandro upset, he was punishing her, not starving her.

If she was going to have her three meals, April didn't care about anything else and obediently accepted a

punishment she didn't deserve.

That safternoon she was taken to the farthest part of the castle, they left her in a small house that must

have been used by the gardener at spoint, it was small, nice and cozy, although it was supposed to be a

punishment April felt that it was a reward for her, she would no longer have to live locked in a room, she would

have a small house with a patio.

April tried to put on a sad expression because if the maids saw her happy they would want to bother her again.

The maids handed her a basket of fruits and vegetables and said.

_This place is too remote, the princess will have to prepare her own meals since we will not be able to chere

to deliver her, we are too busy for that, besides her majesty said that this was her punishment.

April knew that the maids were lying, they simply did not want to continue taking care of them, they simply did

not want to continue taking care of her and they thought that this was a good opportunity to do so.

Although at least they had given her the ingredients to make her meal, that was a relief for April, she took the

basket with the vegetables and entered the house, the maids left immediately.

That house was small but it was very well kept, there was also a fireplace so when winter cshe wouldn't

freeze to death if she collected firewood before winter came, April smiled broadly, what was supposed to be a

punishment she saw as a blessing, there was no one to watch her, or to prevent her from leaving her room,

although she had to try not to get close to the palace because if the servants saw her they might want to get her

into trouble.

April breathed a sigh of relief, for the first tin a long time, it seemed like luck was finally smiling on her.

_ In the end | won with all this, that woman wanted to seesuffer, however, she doesn't know that she ended

up doinga favor, | hope she stays healthy and has a good life.
