Chapter 2:.
RK walked in and stood in front of Stella. He looked like a king, towering above the world and looking down on
everyone as if they were nothing.
With his tall stature and commanding line, he gave off an undeniable power.
Stella sat on the couch, overwhelmed by his presence. She remained seated, staring at him, surprised by his
words. She had never expected the man to be so cold-blooded and utter such harsh statements without a
second thought. There was no hesitation in his voice when he said he didn’t want the child.
Stella looked into his eyes, doing her best to remain calm and hold back tears. She did not want to appear weak
in front of this cold man. The two looked at each other in silence.
After a while, RK cover and sat down across from Stella. As he sat down, his assistant, Alex Tristan, placed a
stack of papers on the table. At the top of the papers were the words “Contract expired.”
Alex looked at Stella and said, “Miss Richard, according to your contract with Mr. RK, three years are up. Please
sign here to finalize the process.”
Stella noticed the change in the way Alex addressed her: from Mrs. RK to Miss Richard. Although she had not yet
signed her name, a smirk appeared on her face. She was sure that Alex would not have dared to take her so
lightly if she had not been ordered to do so by someone, and that someone was none other than her husband.

said, “You can stay here for a week and look for a house.”
Stella looked into the man’s eyes, which were as calm as a lake.
There was no regret, no sadness, no hesitation, nothing. It was as if she felt nothing for their relationship, which
had suddenly undergone such a significant change.
But when this thought crossed her mind, she chided herself.
“Stella, are you a fool? How can you expect repentance or sadness from this stone-hearted man?”
But still, she could not control her emotions because she had loved that stone-hearted man for so many years.

Stella said nothing and just looked at the man she had spent the last three years with.
She had seen his face every day and yet now, looking at him, she still found him strikingly handsome. But... he
was also the man who had broken her heart into a thousand pieces.
She didn’t want to show her vulnerability in front of him, so she did her best not to cry. Her hand trembled as she
picked up the pen. She looked at the papers, saw his elegant, strong handwriting, and signed her name.
Like her heart, her handwriting was also broken.
Stella was torn up inside, but it didn’t show on her face. After signing her name, she took a deep breath and said,
“I am very grateful to Mr. Kingston for allowingto stay here for a week, but after our contract expires, | don’t
think I should stay here. | will leave immediately.”
After speaking, Stella looked at Mia and asked, “Mia, can you helppack up my things?”
Mia looked at Stella’s face and saw how hard she was trying not to cry. Her heart ached. She didn’t want to do
this, but she had to.
Stella went upstairs to pack her belongings, while RK watched her retreating figure, her emotions unreadable.
Stella looked around the place where she had lived for three years, her eyes misty. She couldn't hold back the
tears.
She knew the marriage would end someday, but she had not anticipated such intense pain in her heart.
Stella didn’t have much to pack. She just gathered her belongings, but left everything RK had bought untouched,
not a single article of clothing. Mia watched her in silence, not knowing what to say.
Stella wiped her tears and said, “Mia, don’t worry about me. I'm fine. It’s just that I'm not his wife.” With that,
she grabbed her purse and headed downstairs.
Downstairs, RK was still sitting on the couch, looking at Stella. But Stella didn’t want to look at him and was
ready to leave.
“Where are you going?” suddenly, his cold voice cut through the silence.
Stella paused and turned to look at him.
She had not had good relations with his family from the beginning and, after she married, had found it almost

obligation to tell him where she was going.
“I don’t think my whereabouts have anything to do with Mr. Kingston. We are already divorced and have nothing
to do with each other. Kingston should be focused on his future wife, not his ex-wife.”
Stella's tone was cold, and it was as if she was throwing daggers with her words. She could not understand his
hypocritical behavior.
When they were together, and she was at hwith a fever, this man didn’t even show that he cared about her.
He was busy with his business and making money. He didn’t care about his wife, who had a fever.
He wondered if it was his imagination, but it seemed to him that, after mentioning his future wife, the
temperature in the room had dropped considerably. He felt a shiver run through his body and decided....
