Chapter 80
“If you need anything, please feel free to call me. | will be assisting you during your stay in Macau, Secretary Ji
said with a warm smile as she pushed the door open, stepping aside to let Izzy enter. “This is your office. Please
cin.
Izzy walked in, her heels clicking softly against the polished marble floor. Her eyes widened as she took in the
luxurious office. The room was expansive, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering an unobstructed view of
Macau's skyline bathed in the soft morning light. The sea beyond shimmered under the sun’s golden rays,
creating a serene contrast to the bustling city below.
A plush seating area to the right featured a dark leather sofa and matching armchairs arranged around a glass
coffee table, ideal for casual meetings or quick breaks. To the left, a small conference table sat in front of a built-
in bookshelf filled with leather-bound volumes and decorative accents. At the far end, a private bathroom with a
frosted glass door added a touch of exclusivity. The minimalist decor was understated but exuded sophistication
which she quite liked.
Izzy stepped further into the room, her eyes drawn to the massive oak desk situated near the windows. Its
smooth surface gleamed under the natural light, and the leather executive chair behind it radiated power. She
let her gaze wander back to the view, the skyline twinkling softly against the brightening sky She could only
imagine how beautiful everything would be during the night.
“This is... more than | expected,” Izzy admitted as she ran her fingers lightly over the edge of the desk. She'd
worked with various companies abroad before, but this was technically the first tshe had been given such a
luxurious office.
Secretary Ji smiled knowingly. “The adjoining door leads directly to Mr. Horvath'’s office,” she said, gesturing
toward a sleek, dark-paneled door on the far side of the room. “He requested this arrangement specifically. He
said the environment would make it easier to collaborate.”
Izzy blinked at the mention of the adjoining office, her attention shifting to the door. Just as she opened her

Liam stepped in, his stride unhurried, as he entered the room. He glanced around briefly before his gaze settled
on Izzy. There was a calm confidence in the way he carried himself, as if this arrangement was nothing out of the
ordinary.
Izzy turned fully toward him, crossing her arms. “I really can’t say that this doesn’t surprise me, Mr. Horvath. |
didn’t think you liked extravagant things so much,” she smiled, arching an eyebrow.
Liam closed the door behind him and stepped closer, his hands in his pockets. “I like convenience more...” he
said simply. He gestured toward the office with a slight nod. “If we're going to be working closely, it’s practical to
keep communication seamless.”
Izzy studied him for a moment before letting out a soft sigh. She gestured toward the room. “It's... impressive,”
she admitted reluctantly. “But | wasn’t expecting this level of-” she paused, glancing around. “Extravagance.”
Liam smirked faintly as he stepped beside her, his eyes scanning the view through the window. “I believe in
creating an environment that inspires productivity,” he said. “Consider it an investment.”
Izzy pursed her lips. Again, she looked at the view, trying her best not to stare into his eyes.

“Since we will be staying here for at least two weeks every month until the project is done, | thought it would be
best to have the best office and accommodation.”
“Accommodation?”
“You didn’t think you would be staying in the hotel for your entire visit?” he asked. Then he continued, “Don’t
worry... we're not staying in the sroom this time.”
“Ehem...” Serena cleared her throat as she looked away. “I-uh- still have things to attend to. Please callif you
need anything.” She didn’t wait for the two to say a word as she practically ran out of the room.

“Did you have to do that?” she asked.
“Do what?” he feigned ignorance.
“Scare her away?” Izzy looked away, a little irritated. She had honestly been under the impression that they
would be staying in a different hotel since last night. Liam informed her that he would be staying at a hotel far
from hers.
“What?” he asked, chuckling. “I was simply telling the truth. Of course, you don’t want the accommodation
then-"
“Why wouldn't | want it?” she responded before she could process his words. “I-I mean-" When she realized what
she had just said, it was already too late. Liam was already smirking at her as if he had just won scontést.
Liam's smirk widened as he leaned slightly closer as he stared at izzy’s flushed face. “Why are you blushing?” he
asked. “I don’t think I've ever seen you blush like this before-not even when we were sleeping next to each
other.”
Izzy's eyes widened in shock, a jolt of heat rushed to her face. “Close your mouth,” she said.
He tilted his head, his expression smug. “Why should I? We've shared a bed before. How could you possibly-"
Before he could finish, Izzy moved quickly, pressing her hand firmly over his mouth. The action caught both of

suddenly felt stifling.
“Why are you talking about that now?” she demanded as she tried to avoid thinking about the flutter in her
chest.
Liam raised an eyebrow, his expression unreadable. With her hand still covering his mouth, he couldn't speak,
but his eyes gleamed with amusement. Then, as if to answer her unspoken question, his hands moved to her
waist, pulling her closer with ease.
Izzy's heart skipped a beat. She stiffened, realizing just how intimately they were standing. Her hand slowly
dropped from his mouth, but she didn’t step back. Instead, she stared up at him. Why... Why was she looking at
his damn lips!?
“I-" She faltered, heat rushing to her cheeks before she even realized it. What was happening to her? “I asked
you a question,” she repeated, her voice quieter now. Lately, she had found herself at a loss for words far too
often when he was around.
Liam's smirk deepened, but he remained silent, his gaze holding hers with an intensity that made her chest
tighten. His hands stayed firm on her waist, his grip steady and strangely comforting. The world outside seemed
to blur, leaving only the two of them in silence.
Izzy waited for him to speak, to say something that would shatter the tension. But he didn’t. For what felt like
forever, silence stretched between them. And then-
“What the hell are you two doing!?” a sharp voice cut through the room, making Izzy's head snap toward the
door.
Her face turned ugly.
