Chapter 17 Chapter 17: During her tin prison, she had endured "special treatment" from Sloane's schemes, surviving among hardened criminals far more dangerous than Sloane could ever hope to be.

Now, it was Sloane's turn to face the consequences of her actions, Khloe thought with icy resolve.

With lightning-fast reflexes, her hand shot out, gripping Sloane's wrist and twisting it sharply. Sloane let out a shriek of pain as the knife fell from her grasp.

Without missing a beat, Khloe placed her left hand on Sloane's shoulder, then swept her right leg out in one fluid motion, knocking Sloane off balance.

Before Sloane could process what was happening, she was on the ground with a heavy thud.

Khloe moved with precision, her foot coming down on Sloane's head, pinning her to the ground as though she were nothing more than a squirming pest.

Khloe stood over her, eyes cold and commanding, her gaze heavy with an unspoken superiority. "Did you really believe someone like you could lay a finger on me?" Sloane, overwhelmed by humiliation and fear, squirmed frantically, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't escape Khloe's unyielding grip.

Just then, Lorraine's composure shattered. Her face twisted with fury as she fished a gun out of her bag, pointing it at Khloe. "Release Sloane, or I swear I'll shoot you!" Khloe didn't so much as flinch. Instead, she let out a derisive chuckle. "Lorraine, do you honestly think you can intimidatewith that toy?" Lorraine's grip wavered, her voice cracking under the pressure. "Khloe, I'm warning you! Don't test me!" Khloe locked eyes with Lorraine, her face devoid of fear. "Do it. Pull the trigger." The guests stepped back in alarm; the tension in the banquet hall was so thick it was almost suffocating. Eric, completely blindsided by the abrupt chaos, stood frozen, his mind racing as he struggled to make sense of the situation.

Lorraine's jaw clenched, her finger inching closer to pulling the trigger.

As the tension reached its peak, a deep, authoritative voice cut through the chaos. "Enough! Everyone, stand down!" All heads turned as an imposing elder entered, seated in a wheelchair but radiating a commanding presence. The elderly man sat regally in a wheelchair, surrounded by a group of men dressed in sharp black suits.

His face was etched with authority, his eyes cutting like blades as he shouted, "Stop this madness!" His men moved swiftly, fanning out like a pack of fierce lions, their guns pointed at Lorraine.

Lorraine froze for a moment before her shock twisted into fury. "Who do you think you are? How dare you storm into my house? am the m mistress of the Evans family!" Turning on Khloe, she hissed through gritted teeth, "So this is your game? Stirring up trouble under the wing of sdoddering sugar daddy? You've sunk to new lows. Clinging to srich old man like a leech. How pathetic!"

Khloe stood tall, her composure unshaken, her gaze cold and unyielding. She regarded Lorraine with quiet contempt, as though the woman was nothing more than a pitiful spectacle. "Mr. Russell, if you would," she said, her tone cutting and devoid of warmth.

Lorraine's face darkened with rage. "Don't fool yourself into thinking that cozying up to this dubious old man changes anything. It end you right here and now!" Her finger squeezed the trigger, the gun roaring to life. It seemed certain that Khloe would be hit, her blood staining the banquet floor. Khloe didn't flinch, her expression as calm as a still lake, not even bothering to dodge.
