Chapter 0283
Anger surged through me, and | heard the low growl of my wolf. If | didn’t get him under control, everyone would
seelose it entirely. | knew | was projecting a powerful aura and soon, the entire resort would feel it as well.
Lexcused myself from Levi as | walked toward Judy. My eyes glared at her, and she was oblivious to it. However,
the second she saw me, shock registered on her face. | grabbed her arm before she could say a word and pulled
her out of the party room and into the hallway. She stumbled over her own feet, wincing in pain and | momently
felt like a jackass because | knew her ankle still hurt her despite the fact that she was no longer wearing a cast.
| pressed Judy into the wall, pinning her beneath my body. She trembled and | wasn’t sure if it was out of fear, or
desire
“You shouldn’t be here. Are you trying to makelook stupid?” | sneered. | didn’t like how | sounded. | knew |
sounded like a jerk, but | couldn't help myself.
“How doesbeing here affect you?” Judy bit back, givinga shove so I'd loosen my grip on her. | had to
hand it to her. | liked the fact that wasn't afraid to stand her ground and she never held back when it cto
me. She wasn’t afraid of me... it was refreshing
“Coming to stalk me... affects me,” | said, my eyes landing on her full lips. She was nibbling on her lower lip,
drawing my attention. | knew she was only doing it out of a hervous habit, but it madewant to taste her lips.
“And who said anything about stalking you?” She asked, her eyes glancing at my mouth before she met my ey
again.

“What else would you be doing here?”
“Perhaps you should pay more attention,” she replied, givinganother shove. “Now can | go back to the party
room? I'm quite hungry and would like to get sfood before it’s all gone.”
| wanted to argue with her that she shouldn’t be eating the meal prepared for the competitors. | could just take
her to dinner myself and we can have a meal in the small city. | couldn't explain it, but I had this strong urge to
get her out of this resort and hide her away. A large part of the wanted to protect her in more ways than | could.
“You shouldn’t be walking around,” | warned her.
She was about to say something more, but then voices in the party room stopped her. They were right by the
door and easy to pick up on.
“Has Judy Montague arrived yet?”

yet, Alpha. I'll let you know as soon as she does.”
“See that you do.”
| recognized the voices as Levi and his Beta. | furrowed my brows, confused by what | had heard.
“Why would Alpha Levi be speaking to you about?” | asked, narrowing my eyes at her; | had her pinned against
the wall again within a second.
‘How am | supposed to know?” She asked through her teeth “It’s not your business.”
A smirk played on my lips.
“Did you chere to seduce me?” | asked her, my voice low and sultry, my breath brushing across the side of
her face, making her body tremble beneath mine.
| knew she wanted to give in; she was seconds away from caring. | was good when it cto these types of
games.

“Theo is one of my top students,” Levi continued to explain “He’s going to be a tough one to beat.”
Theo looked proud of himself; was this skind of sike out?
| forced another smile, trying not to look bothered.

“Is that so?” | asked him.
“I had a good teacher,” he told me. “Are you here alone?”
It was a quick subject change that tookby surprise. | blinked at him, but then | nodded.
“Uh, yeah. My friend went elsewhere for dinner,” | told him
“You are here with just a friend?” He asked.
“Yes,” | said as | studied him. | studied his many facial expressions and his stance while speaking to me. He was
easy to read, and | wondered if he was just as easy to read on the battle friend. No doubt | would have to fight
him at spoint; | needed to do sresearch on this guy and find out his fighting techniques.
Before | could say anything more, the food started to be served. | turned back to Theo who was watching me
with an expression that | couldn’t quite read, and it madeunsettled.
“I'm going to take a seat,” | told him, pointing at the table. “It was nice to meet you.”
| looked at Alph Levi and bowed my head slightly to him before departing and heading toward my table.
Everybody was already seated at their tables except for one seat that was empty. It was right next to mine.
| wondered if they decided not to cto this dinner; | probably should have just gone with Nan. | wasn’t really
finding out much information about anyone. They were all being careful not to show their weaknesses, knowing
that they would be scoped out.
