Chapter 132
Eloise was pissed.
She glared at him and raged, "Harvey, where the hell have you been? You reek of Joan. Do | need to give you a
scrub? Cleanse your insides while I'm at it?"
"We shouldn't complain about each other." She wrapped her arms around his neck, almost strangling him in
anger.
Harvey grabbed her waist. He was mad and actually didn't want to touch her, but couldn't help himself.
He lowered his head, as if to kiss her. "Ms. Laurent, you got skinky tastes? Wanna clean my insides? Or how
about start with my special parts first, what do you say?"
As he spoke, he picked Eloise up and headed for the bathroom.
About five minutes later, sounds of a man and woman cfrom the bathroom. Gasping, begging...
This wasn't the first tHarvey and Eloise had been intimate. Eloise was open and cooperative, but after it was
over, he lost interest. His body was screaming for release after days of abstinence, but after doing it with her, he
had no interest.
Not that it felt bad, it was actually pretty good. Even though it was exciting, it felt different from before.
Something was missing.
Harvey, wearing a bathrobe, leaned against the head of the bed. Eloise cout of the bathroom, realizing he
wouldn't take any further action tonight, so she started to get dressed.
Harvey watched her silently. Her eyes were downcast, looking gentle, but he knew this was just her appearance.
In reality, she had a fiery temper.
She used to be with Max, and he had never heard of her shouting at Max, and this made Harvey uncomfortable.
Men always cared about their pride.
He lit a cigarette and casually asked, "How long are you going to keep this up?" Eloise didn't respond.

Harvey flicked the ashes off his cigarette. "You said you wanted to raise funds, right? I'll invest. You can do
whatever you want, business or pleasure, I'll get the chef to cook dinner. You can relax and it won't affect our
life."
He spoke softly.
Eloise was somewhat confused. After a while, she chuckled softly, "Harvey, I'm really touched. For you to
compromise for me, | should be happy."
But she liked him. Because she liked him, she couldn't be his puppet anymore. Otherwise, she would despise
herself.
Harvey probably didn't realize that all the good things he promised her, everything he gave her, none of them
were "Eloise, | like you. | want to be serious with you."
Nothing. Their relationship was purely physical.
Eloise took a deep breath. She laughed at herself, "I'm not that valuable. Can | be sold a second tafter being
sold once?"
Harvey's face darkened. He stared at her.
Eloise knew what he was thinking. She didn't respond to his kindness, so it's like she was ungrateful.
Right, why would he care about the feelings of someone insignificant like her?
All she needed to do was stay at home, waiting for his affection. Eloise didn't want that. She had experienced
heartbreak before, and even now, being controlled by Harvey, she still believed that one day, she would meet
someone who would cherish her.
Eloise buttoned up her last button. She said calmly, "Attorney Horigan, I'll be leaving first."
Harvey watched her, "Is it because of Landon? Do you like him?"
"No."
Harvey scrutinized her, his eyes full of thought. After a while, he said nonchalantly, "Leave tomorrow morning.
It's raining outside."
Eloise's heart softened, and she turned her head.
Against the tea-colored window, raindrops were quietly falling, like lovers' tears. Eloise couldn't help but
remember that night. He said he would attend her opening ceremony and meet her parents. She was so happy
that day. But in the end, he didn't show up, his phone was off. She was worried about his safety, but he was
embracing his ex in the rain.
If Joan kissed him, she thought he wouldn't refuse. He couldn't refuse.
Eloise's heart, which had just softened, hardened again. "I'll take a taxi home. It's convenient."
Having said that, Eloise opened the door and walked out.
It was raining heavily outside, cold and wet. Eloise hugged herself, hailed a taxi,
and when she got in, her red eyes finally welled up with tears.
No matter how strong she was, she couldn't bear her relationship with Harvey turning into this.
She used to like him so much. She used to eagerly anticipate having a relationship with him.
Harvey didn't plan to spend the night in the hotel either. He slowly put on his clothes and, as he was pulling up
his pants, he noticed a small pearl earring at the foot of the bed.
He remembered he was rough. Eloise was pressed against the foot of the bed, her long hair spread out on the
white sheets, looking heart-stirring.
Harvey stared at it for a while. He picked up the earring and put it in his pocket.
After checking out, as he sat in the car, still contemplating where to go, Pauline's phone call cin.
"Harvey, Winona made dessert. Bring Eloise over."
Harvey caressed the steering wheel, dealing with his mother. "It's too late, Eloise is probably asleep."
Pauline immediately asked, "You and Eloise aren't living together anymore?"

Harvey was too proud to admit his woman had left him. He lazily said, "No, she... she's too tired, probably can't
get up."
Pauline blushed. She softly scolded her son, "You should control yourself. Do you still want a child? If you're too
indulgent when you're young, be careful of health problems later. If you can't conceive, don't blEloise."
She paused, then said, "I think, you should take advantage of your youth and
have a child. Having a child gives you a sense of family."
Harvey sighed softly, "Mom, I'll be hsoon."
Pauline finally let him go.
Harvey drove home.
Horigan Mansion was brightly lit, the hall bustling. Clearly there were guests.
When he walked in, he found that Max was there, currently holding his beloved sister, Orlena. Orlena was so
amused that her face turned red.
Max saw Harvey cback, gently let go of Orlena, and then said with a hint of provocation, "You smell like
hotel shower gel."
Orlena gently nudged him. "How could he possibly be at a hotel? He's always been super clean."
Max cracked a small smile, "Is that so?"
Unexpectedly, Harvey didn't deny it. He sat down across from them and said nonchalantly, "I just got back from
a hotel."
Orlena was momentarily speechless. Did he really go to a hotel? Was there another woman by his side?
Harvey pulled out a tiny pearl earring from his pocket, saying, "She didn't even notice she lost one on the bed."
After that, his gaze lightly swept over Max.
Max, who had been initially indifferent, suddenly lost his smile.
