Halsey kissed her cheek. “Because you're a girl, and girls shouldn't sleep with any man except their daddy. It's a
private rule for us girls.”

Halsey handed Shaun a storybook. “I'm going to shower. You read Bella a story.”

As Halsey headed to the bathroom, she glanced back. Bella was tucked in bed, while Shaun lounged against the
