The cold wind blew past them, but it didn't seem like they felt it at all.
Eventually, Noah broke the silence when he woke up. "Mom? Mister? What are you two doing out here?"
He only noticed Yvette was crying after he asked that. Then, he instantly becanxious and hurriedly
approached them. "Mom, why are you crying? Mister, did you bully my mom?"
He thought Xavier had beca nice guy, and it seemed to him that it wasn't true at that moment. Then, Noah
started punching Xavier's legs with his tiny fists. "How dare you bully my mom?"
Yvette wiped the tears off of her face and was prepared to stop Noah. "Noah, he didn't bully me. I just had
something in my eyes—"
Before she could finish speaking, Xavier had already picked Noah up. "Who are you calling mister? I'm your dad."
Noah was stunned as he didn't understand why Xavier would know that. "Nonsense! You're not my dad! My dad
is Claude!"
If Noah hadn't been sick, Xavier would've spanked his butt by now. He didn't explain it further and just carried
Noah back into the hospital.
"Hey, be careful! | almost hit the wall,
you stupid man!" Noah was still furious. He thought something was off with Xavier and Yvette that day, and he
was still wondering why Xavier knew he was his son. Could Yvette have told him?
Since she was afraid that Xavier might punish Noah, she hurriedly followed them. Fortunately, Xavier just took
Noah back to the ward and dropped him back on the bed.
Then, he said to the bodyguards, "Do
not let him out of the ward again without my permission." After that, he added, "Also, no one can visit him
without my permission."
Upon hearing that, Yvette immediately grabbed his arm. "What do you mean by that? Can't | see Noah as well?"
"You didn't allowto see both of my kids in the past either, right?" Xavier turned around and coldly pulled her
hand away.

When Yvette's hand was pulled away, she stood there in disbelief for a long time. She knew she had made a
mistake.
So, she decided to look for him a few days later when he had calmed down. She didn't return to Dewberry Manor.
Instead, she stayed in a rented room in the hospital.
After Xavier left the building, he
didn't go back to Dewberry Manor as
well. He just got into the car and
started smoking nonstop. Mark thought Xavier would be ecstatic to find out that the kids were his. However, his
reaction was out of Mark's expectations.
"Mr. Lane, you should stop smoking now. It isn't good for your body, and Mrs. Lane will be angry if she knows
about this."
He thought Xavier would stop smoking if he mentioned Yvette's name. However, Xavier looked even angrier
after that.
