Chapter 183 4.97%8 The villa had been wrecked by Stephanie's gas accident. The kitchen on the first floor, and even the living room, was almost unrecognizable. Richard had taken her to another manor.

Stephanie was impossible to deal with, and Richard had no choice but to keep an eye on her.

When Stephanie finally dragged herself out of the shower, exhausted from the chaos, all she wanted was to sleep. But instead, she found Richard sitting on the bed, holding a book.

Stephanie's face twitched. "What do you want?" she asked.

Richard sighed. "What do you think? I'm watching you myself." He shook his head. She was trouble, and he was afraid she'd blow through every property he owned.

Stephanie glanced around the room. There was a couch, but it looked cramped. 'Is he seriously suggesting I sleep on that? He's being so unreasonable,' she thought.

"Why are you just standing there?" Richard said, his tone impatient. "Get in bed. Aren't you tired?" Stephanie's eyes widened. "What?" she said, incredulous. "Sleep in the sbed with you?" Richard shrugged. "Consider it a little bonus for you," he said with a smirk.

"Wow, thanks," Stephanie replied, her voice dripping with sarcasm. She didn't want this "bonus" at all. "You leave, and I won't make a fuss, okay?" she said, trying to find a way out. "Just givesspace." Richard chuckled. "If you'd been this cooperative from the start, we wouldn't have had so many problems.* Stephanie was speechless. 'Who could stay calm when they were kidnapped? No way,' she grumbled in her mind.

Richard chuckled again. "Too bad it's too late now. I don't trust you." Stephanie's face burned with anger. She clenched her teeth and shot Richard a glare.

Richard watched her for a moment, then pulled back the blanket, got out of bed, and walked straight toward her. Stephanie instinctively stepped back, but in the next instant, Richard grabbed her pajama collar with a rough hand. There was a tearing sound as the silk ripped and a button flew off.

The room fell silent. Stephanie's eyes blazed. "Richard, you jerk! I'm gonna tear you apart!" "Don't move," Richard warned, pinning her down with a quick, firm motion as she lunged at him.

"Let go," Stephanie said, her voice steady but tense.

"Think you can move again?" Richard taunted, a glint in his eye as he held a knife close to her neck. The blade was cold, a silent threat.

Stephanie glanced at the bandage on his neck, a reminder of the bite she'd left. "You're threatening me?" she said, her voice tinged with disbelief.

Richard pushed her against the wall, and Stephanie winced as her back hit it hard. Her face twisted in pain, and for a second, Richard thought she might lash out.

He lifted her chin, his fingers brushing the spot on her neck where Sebastian had left his mark. His eyes darkened, and his expression turned cold.

1/3 09:34 20 Mar 2.97% Chapter 183 "Are you really with Sebastian now?" he asked, his voice low and quiet. The rumors from Long Harbor had been hard to ignore.

"What does it have to do with you?" Stephanie shot back, her voice defensive.

Richard straightened, his eyes cold and piercing as he looked down at her.

The danger he exuded was palpable, and Stephanie felt a shiver run down her spine. She'd been defiant moments ago, but now his gaze made her feel uneasy. "Why are you staring atlike that?" she demanded.

Richard stepped closer, giving her no space to move, Stephanie tried to back away, but her back was already against the wall. "What are you doing? Get out of the way," she said, pushing at his chest.

But Richard leaned in, his breath warm against her ear. "Do you remember what I told you before you left Fiorenza?" His voice was deep, tinged with barely contained anger.

Stephanie's body tensed as she tried to recall what he had said. Her mind flashed back to that day when she saw Richard's face smeared with blood. She hadn't known what had happened to him or why he was bleeding.

He'd told her, "Remember, you're my fiancée. Leaving Fiorenza is good for you right now, and I'll cget you myself." At that moment, Stephanie, furious over Richard's threats about her family, slapped him. With that, she turned to leave, tears streaming down her face, when Richard's cold voice cfrom behind her. "Remember, don't get involved with Sebastian. Or else..." Richard didn't need to finish his sentence. Stephanie knew the Giovanni family was in a precarious position. She couldn't afford to make things worse for Sebastian, so she had no choice but to listen and stay away.

Right now, at the sound of Richard's warning, Stephanie looked up, her eyes filled with tears and anger.

Richard grabbed a fistful of her hair at the back of her head. "Looks like you've totally ignored my words. Or did you forget the important part?" "What important part?" she growled.

"You're my fiancée. Now how do you explain this mark?" Richard's fingers dug into her neck, his eyes blazing with fury. His whole body seemed to vibrate with rage.

Stephanie let out a bitter laugh. "Are you kidding yourself?" she snapped. Richard's grip tightened, and she gasped in pain. She wanted to bite him, but she couldn't reach.

She reached for his stomach, aiming to pinch him, but his abs were rock-hard.

Richard glanced down at her hand, his eyes turning cold. Then he let out a quiet chuckle. "Is this the move Sofia taught you? How cute." But before he could finish, he let out a muffled groan. "You witch. Are you trying to end my future? Or do you want to be a widow for life?" Stephanie's kick to his groin had caught him off guard, and he instinctively let go of her.

Seizing the moment, Stephanie broke free and backed away, eyeing Richard warily. Richard bent over, catching his breath. and gave her a sideways glance. His look was so intense it made her skin crawl.

Frightened, Stephanie grabbed an ashtray. "Stay back, or I'll hit you!" Her chubby face looked comically fierce as she tried to sound intimidating.

Richard sneered. "Con, throw it. If you don't takedown today, I'll make sure you pay."

"You..." Stephanie was at a loss for words. When someone wasn't afraid to risk everything, people would ste step aside. That was the first lesson Sofia taught her when she took Stephanie away. 2/3 09:34 Thu, 20 Mar ( Chapter 183 In desperation, Stephanie brought the ashtray to her forehead, "Stephanie!" An angry shout echoed through the room as Richard's hand clamped down on her wrist.

He grabbed her so hard that it felt like her bones might break. Stephanie's hand went limp from the pain, and the ashtray clattered to the floor.

Richard shoved her aside, pointing at her furiously. "You really are something else,” he spat through gritted teeth.

Stephanie bit her thin lips, tears welling up in her eyes.

Richard glared at the marks on her neck before turning and storming toward the door.

Seeing him leave, Stephanie finally felt a flicker of relief.

As Richard reached the door, he paused and turned back to her. "Do you really think you and Sebastian can actually be together?" "What do you mean?" she asked.

Richard sneered. "Don't forget you're my fiancée," he said before walking out the door.

"Talk about a lunatic," Stephanie muttered under her breath.

She didn't believe Richard had the right to decide whether she could be could with Sebastian. Sebastian had told her to trust him, to let him handle it. She believed he would take care of everything. "Tch, if even Mom doesn't object, what's it to him?" Stephanie grumbled, feeling annoyed.

But she felt a wave of relief now that he was finally gone. At least shem wouldn't have to share a room with him! Glancing at the ashtray on the floor, she still felt a bit shaken. mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLliIofifl0&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1
